ABSTRACT

Transitional cell papilloma accounts for about 20 percent of all tumors of the nose and paranasal sinus. But reports of transitional cell type papillomas arising outside the nose and paranasal sinus are very rare. In this paper we report a case of transitional cell papilloma arising in the middle ear without involvement of nose or paranasal sinus, and discuss the pathophysiology of this interesting clinical entity.

Keywords: Transitional cell papillomaMiddle ear.
