ABSTRACT |
The mixed tumors or pleomorphic adenomas are dual origin of neoplasm from epithelial and mesenchymal elements. It presents most frequently in the major salivary gland, but its appearance in the upper respiratory tract is very rare. Nasal cavity is especially uncommon site for pleomorphic adenoma. We experienced a case of pleomorphic adenoma originating from lateral wall of nasal cavity. The patient was a 61 year old female who developed progressive unilateral nasal obstruction for 3 years. The tumor mass was excised through a lateral rhinotomy approach.
