Tumors of the sinonasal cavity are usually locally advanced at the time of diagnosis and their intracranial extension or encroachment is not uncommon. Since combined craniofacial resection made it possible to resect this area, it has become a choice of treatment for sinonasal tumors that involve the anterior cranial base. We present the results of treatment of 9 patients with anterior skull base tumor operated on over a two and half year period. Histology revealed benign tumors in 3 patients, squamous cell carcinoma in 4, transitional cell carcinoma in 1 and adenoid cystic carcinoma in 1. Malignancies involving the anterior skull base can be successfully resected using a craniofacial resection with minimum operative mortality.
