Olfactory Neuroblastoma is a supposely rare tumor, only some 100 cases have been reported in world literature. Berger, Luc and Richard in 1924 were the first to describe such nasal lesion and in domestic area it was reported in 1964 by Kim. By definition, the esthesioneuroepithelioma olfactif, according to Berger et. al, is a malignant neoplasm of the olfactory apparatus which is characterized by an undifferentiated neuroectodermal structure identical to that observed in tumors of the sympathetic ganglia, the adrenal medulla and the retina. Recently, the authors have experienced a case of olfoactory neuroblastomoma, 7 month-old female, who complained of a left nasal obstruction and easy nasal bleeding. A case is reported which illustrates certain histologic variation, histogenetic concepts and clinical features of olfactory neuroblastoma.
