ABSTRACT |
A 20 years old male patient visited to the department of E.N.T with only symptoms of nasal stuffiness and intermittent nasal bleeding. The physical examination revealed non-specific dermal signs except the questionable hypopigmented nodule on the forehead. Nasal examination showed small multiple papillomatous pale nodules on the anterior nasal septum and vestibular area. The histopathological examination and A.F.B stain of section of tissue from the nasal lesion showed lepromatous leprosy such as granulomatous inflammation with foamy histiocytes and abundant acid fast bacilli in A.F.B stain. After treatment with D.D.S, steroid and rifampicin, he has been followed up for 2 months and is nasal symptoms free with no local signs of nose.
