ABSTRACT |
It is not unusual experience to otolaryngologists that patients grimace and agitate in pain and profuse bleeding during intranasal sinus operation, especially ethmoidectomy, due to inadequate topical anesthesia. The authors find the intranasal operation smooth, quiet, less bleeding by blocking the anterior and posterior ethmoidal nerve in the orbit. Therefore, we authors compared the degree of pain and amount of bleeding between the topical anesthesia and intraorbital ethmoidal nerve block and report the results. |
