ABSTRACT

Tracheal stenosis may result from a congenital defect in infants or as an acquired form secondary to the prolonged endotracheal intubation, or trauma including tracheostomy. The lack of a universially accepted, single method of management for tracheal stenosis is manifested by the wide spectrum of therapeutic procedures and concepts proposed. In this paper we discuss tracheal stenosis : one case is as a complication of the tracheostomy in a child, the other is due to the nonspecific inflammatory mass in an adult.
