ABSTRACT |
Foreign bodies in the food passage are one of the most frequently observed accidental cases in the fields of otolaryngology. The children most at risk are those between the ages of 14 months and six years. Coins in the esophagus are the most common pediatric foreign body. The open safety pin in the esophagus is rare condition and serves as a problem case in the removal. This is a report of interesting open safety pin lying point uppermost in the esophagus recently experienced by authors.
