ABSTRACT

Esophageal perforation due to esophagoscopy has intermittently occurred. Due to anatomical relationship with surrounding structures, the minimal trauma to the esophagus can cause serious results. Therefore, early diagnosis and prompt intensive therapy is needed to reduce morbidity and mortality of esophageal perforation. Recently, the authors experienced a case of esophageal perforation after esophagoscopy for removal of foreign body. This is the report of the case with review of literatures.
