ABSTRACT |
Olfactory neuroblastoma is a rare malignant tumor, which is generally accepted to have an incidence of no more than 2% of all malignant nasal tumor. The first discription of olfactory neuroblastoma was in 1924 by Berger et al and it was reported in 1964 by G.Y. Kim and 1980 by J.H. Kim in domestic area. Despite almost neuroblastomas have been described within last 15 years, which is unlikely that this really increase in incidence, it resulted from greater awareness and more accurate diagnosis of this neoplasm. We experienced a case of olfactory neuroblastoma in a 53 year-old male, who complained nasal bleeding and nasal obstruction, so we report with a brief literature review.
