A Case of Pemphigus Vulgaris Limited in Oral Cavity

ABSTRACT

The pemphigus vulgaris is serious mucocutaneous bullous disease, which is comfirmed by histopathology and immunofluorescent study. The exact cause is still not known, but by the evidence that pemphigus is autoimmune disease, it is used to treat with corticosteroid and immunosuppressive drugs such as Azathioprine. Recently, authors experienced a case of pemphigus vulgaris is oral cavity, 57 years old male patient, has been suffered from bullous and ulcerative lesion on oral cavity without skin lesion and improved with treatment of Prednisone and Azathioprine without recurrence.
