ABSTRACT
Radial forearm free flap (RFFF) is a workhorse free flap for intraoral reconstruction. However, the donor site of the forearm must be covered with skin grafts from other areas, which may cause additional problems such as pain, scarring, and infection at the skin graft donor site. To overcome these limitations, de-epithelialized RFFF has been attempted, and good reconstruction results with fewer complications have been reported. We report here two cases of successful reconstruction following oral cavity cancer surgery using de-epithelialized RFFF.
