ABSTRACT

There developed nine cases of perichondritis out of 316 cases of tympanoplasty performed at our hospital during the period beginning July 1, 1963 to June 30, 1968. We have carefully observed the cause of the progress of the perichondritis which developed after surgery and drainage, culture, sensitivity test and ultra-violet therapy were done for it. As we have an experience of treating the perichondritis, we are making this report on it.
