ABSTRACT

Malignant fibrous histiocytoma(MFH) is a sarcoma that occurs principally in the soft tissue and typically involves the skeletal muscle and deep fascia. Although it is one of the most common types of soft tissue sarcoma of late adult life, the involvement of head and neck area is relatively rare. MFH shows variable histologic appearance, and may be classified into several subtypes. The authors have recently experienced a case of MFH involving the left maxillary sinus and nasal cavity in a fifty-year-old female. The case will be reported with review of literature.
