ABSTRACT

Patients usually want to correct their small deformities of the nasal dorsum like hump or deviation because these deformities may make the character strong or funny. Hump or deviation of nasal dorsum can be corrected by reduction rhinoplasty with osteotomy successfully. For good esthetic results, which are as follows : 1) Hump should not be removed by straight line or one step. 2) The supratip soft tissue must be removed adequately to avoid postoperative Polly-beak deformity. 3) The bony and cartilagenous debri should be removed before suture. 4) The dorsum of septal cartilage and perpendicular plate of ethmoid bone must be preserved to avoid postoperative saddle nose deformity. We report the operative technique with the preoperative and postoperative views of reduction rhinoplasty.
